Dr. Raymond Chan was Invited to Give A Plenary Speech at the 2nd Pan-Asia Symposium on the Genetics of Brain Disorders 2022

The 2nd Pan-Asia Symposium on the Genetics of Brain Disorders 2022 was hosted at Nanyang Technical University of Singapore during Nov 3rd-5th 2022 . The conference was conducted in a hybrid format involving on-site and online presentations bringing together leading scientists, academics, researchers and industry partners from the region working on neuropsychiatric disorders to share latest findings, discuss effective therapeutics for these diseases and foster regional collaborations. The Symposium was co-organised by Genome Institute of Singapore, the Institute of Mental Health, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, together with the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

Dr. Raymond Chan from the Neuropsychology and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience (NACN) Laboratory, CAS Key Laboratory of Mental Health, Institute of Psychology was invited to make a plenary speech on the title “Re-orientation of neurological soft signs: Implications for precision psychiatry for psychosis”. Other invited internationally renowned speakers included Dr. Steven Hyman (Director of Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research and Core Institute Member, Broad Institute, and Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor), Prof. Kenneth Kendler (Virginia Commonwealth University), Dr. Matthijs Verhage (Center for Neurogenomics and Cognitive Research, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Amsterdam University Medical Center, Netherlands), Dr. Paola Arlotta (Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, USA & Harvard University) , Prof. Eric Chen (The University of Hong Kong), Dr. Jianhun Liu (Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR, Singapore), and Prof. Helen Zhou (National University of Singapore).
