Research Interests: |
My research interests focus on psycho-neuro-immunological mechanisms of stress and related psychiatric disorders. In my lab, multiple techniques, including behavior, genetic and epigenetic, molecular biology and electrophysiology, are used to elucidate how environmental factors, especially early adverse experiences, cause emotional and cognitive dysfunction, and the relationships with the pathogenesis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and PTSD, etc. My group and collaborators have published over 70 papers in this broad field, most relating to animal research as well as part studies in humans. In recent years, our work has continually been funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Key Technology Research and Development Program of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the Institute of Psychology, and CAS Key Laboratory of Mental Health.
