
The first international conference on brain imaging of depression, hosted by the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was held in Beijing, China from July 27th to 28th, 2019. Professor Chao-Gan Yan from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) chaired this conference. There were 41 delegates home and abroad of International Big-Data Center for Depression Research (IBCDR), and over 100 attendees from research institutions, hospitals, schools and other fields present. Seventeen experts and scholars respectively made a thematic report on their latest research progress in depression brain imaging in this meeting. Forty-one delegates additionally held a closed-door meeting to discuss the establishment and further cooperation of IBCDR. The first international conference on brain imaging of depression is of far-reaching significance, under the condition that the status quo of research and application needs of depression in China are mismatched. International Big-Data Center for Depression Research (ICBDR) brings together the world's brain imaging data. As a platform, it provides a platform of communication and cooperation for doctors and scientists to jointly fight against the problem of reproducibility in brain imaging research, whose mission is to improve diagnosis and treatment, in the wish of bringing hope and gospel for patients in the future.
