Dr. Raymond Chan of the Neuropsychology and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory, and the Key Laboratory of Mental Health of the Institute of Psychology, was recently renewed by the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) the appointment of the Regional Representative for Asia (2009-2011). It’s the third time that Dr. Chan was appointed the regional representative. This position entails keeping the INS abreast of the recent developments in neuropsychology throughout Asia. The International Neuropsychological Society is a multi-disciplinary non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing communication among the scientific disciplines which contribute to the understanding of brain-behavior relationships. The Society currently has more than 4500 members throughout the world. The Society holds two meetings per year. The renewal of the Asian Representative by the INS allows Dr. Chan to continue his main role to bridge the gap between Asian and Western colleagues in neuropsychological research and practices, and to facilitate research development and opportunities in the near future.
