Dr. RAO Lilin, Associate Professor in Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was selected as a member into the Youth Innovation Promotion Association. Only 391 youth researchers in the academy have been admitted to possess its membership for the academic year of 2015. The members must reach some stringent criteria, and be nominated by academic committee of the institute where he/she works. RAO Lilin works in the area of behavioral decision making and neuroeconomics. Using research methods and approaches developed in the fields of psychology and neuroscience, she explores the boundary of the compensatory and noncompensatory rules in the field of decision making under risk. Her researches are expected to help a better understanding of the underlying mechanism of adaptive decision making under risk. RAO Lilin has published 9 papers on top journals, such as Evolution and Human Behavior;Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition;Judgment and Decision Making. RAO has received several awards such as the Beijing Excellent PhD Dissertations, CAS Excellent PhD Dissertations, CAS President Award, Beijing Outstanding Graduate of Common Universities and Colleges and CAS Outstanding Graduate.
