PsyCh Journal, co-published by the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and by John Wiley & Sons, is China's first international psychology journal. Launched in 2012, PsyCh Journal publishes peer-reviewed research articles and reviews spanning the entire spectrum of scientific psychology and its applications. PsyCh Journal is indexed in SSCI, Medline, Scopus, PsycINFO and other prominent databases.
There are two positions opening in the Journal’s editorial office, which is based in Beijing, China. Key responsibilities are listed below. Applicants should be available to start in early 2019.

Vacancy: Managing Editor
Responsible to the Editors-in-Chief
Key Responsibilities:
- Keeping track of the editorial workflow
- Coordinating the review and production processes
- Conducting the initial check of submissions
- Communicating with Editorial Board members, reviewers, and authors
- Communicating with the copy editor, production editor, and authors in the checking and correcting of copy for publication
- Supervising and checking the work of the copy editor
Qualifications:
- Excellent written English for professional communication
- Superior editing skills and experience with relevant software
- Advanced degree in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience or related areas
- Experience in publishing
- Good skills in communication and as a team worker
- English native speaker or comparable ability
Vacancy: Editorial Assistant
Responsible to the Journal Manager and Managing Editor (ME)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the ME in managing the review process
- Managing manuscript files (main documents, figure images)
- Data filing and archiving
- Developing promotional materials
- Managing daily communications
Qualifications:
- Excellent written English for professional communication
- Degree in English, publishing, and/or psychology
- Ability to master the operation of an online data management program
- Good skills in communication and as a team worker
- Attention to details, and orderly work habits
- English native speaker or comparable ability is preferred
