Professor TAPLIN John, former Vice-Chancellor and Head of Department of Psychology at the University of Adelaide (Australia) visited the Institute of Psychology on November 13th, and attended a symposium hosted by Professor LI Shu’s team

Each team member gave a brief introduction to their current work. Four senior students presented their research progress in details. Professor Taplin spoke highly of students’ research work and recent progress. He and Professor LI together shared comments on the new findings and discussed the related key issues in depth. Professor TAPLIN offered insights in regard to statistical analysis, results interpretation and directions for further studies, which enlightened both the students and teachers.

University of Adelaide is a prestigious college with a high academic reputation across Australia and even the globe. Out of his passion for international cooperation and communication, Professor TAPLIN served eight years as the vice chancellor for international affairs and established the Taplin Indigenous Bursary for International Education. University of Adelaide signed cooperation partnership with the Institute of Psychology in 2009, since then, Professor TAPLIN has been a frequent visitor of the Professor LI Shu’s team and has provided much valuable assistance and suggestions.
