Dr. Raymond Chan Has Recently Been Invited to Join the Editorial Board of Journal of Abnormal Psychology

Dr. Raymond Chan from the Neuropsychology and Applied Cognitive Neuroscience (NACN) Laboratory, and the CAS Key Laboratory of Mental Health, Institute of Psychology has recently been invited to join the editorial board of Journal of Abnormal Psychology.

 

Journal of Abnormal Psychology (JAP) is an affiliated journal of the American Psychological Association. It is also a flagship journal in the field of abnormal and clinical psychology publishing high quality papers on basic research and theory in the field of psychopathology and other abnormal behaviours as well as the underlying mechanism and neural substrates. Professor Angus McDonald III from the University of Minnesota is the current editor-in-chief. Dr. Raymond Chan’s previous contributions to JAP and his service to the field were recently reviewed by the editor-in-chief who has recommended Dr. Chan for a position on the Editorial Board. He is the first psychologist from mainland China to serve on the editorial board of JAP.

 

Dr. Chan has also been invited to join the inaugural editorial board of Biological Psychiatry: Global Open Science recently. He has been actively conducting research in early detection and intervention for mental and brain disorders, with special interest in adopting a transdiagnostic approach of investigating schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder and autism. His recent work has extended to a wider spectrum of mental disorders including autistic spectrum disorders.
