Longitudinal Study on the Influence of Information Policy on Household Water Conservation

National Social Science Fund of China (18BGL180)

PI:SUN Yan

This project will explore the impact of different information policies on residents' water saving behaviors by cross-sectional and longitudinal design. Firstly, this project will use some technologies like structured interview and water use diary to collect the water use information. Therefore, the key factors that affect the residential water use can be explored. Secondly, based on framing effect theory and value-belief-norm theory, four water saving information policies are designed. Then we will analyze the differences in water saving behaviors of residents under different information policies through longitudinal tracking. Finally, grounded on the results, this project will provide the scientific evidences of water-saving management.
